Overpelt is a former municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg. On January 1, 2006, Overpelt had a total population of 13,435. The total area is 40.85 km² which gives a population density of 329 inhabitants per km².

The municipality consisted of the following population centres: centre, Holheide, Overpelt-Fabriek, and Lindelhoeven.
