Stanstead stone circle (Stonehenge) (Stanstead, Quebec)

USA / Vermont / Derby Line / Stanstead, Quebec
 stonehenge replica, park

This land was the property of the former Rock Island mayor Louis L. Phelps, and was granted by him to the town in 1903. Having long time served as a spot for picnickers and summer festivals, it became dedicated to the hard work of granite extractors, as well as a symbol of unity between both United States and Canada. A stonehenge-like structure was erected there in 2007 and cultivated lavender now blooms here every summer.
