This was a large mega scale master planned Community with a projected built out population of about 15,000 back in the 1950's and 60's. Only just a few homes were built. The Development never came through. It was suppose to be a southern New Mexico Community for snowbirds. The community might have tried to mimic a southeastern florida city with lakes. It never was built because it was in the middle of nowhere in no man's land. I also heard somewhere people investing in this community were scammed out of their money.
