The tank is man made lake by the effort of the contemporary principal of gaya college gaya Dr. s. K. Varma with the cooperation of the NCC students and military soldiers. it is located near the military cantonment, north region, and just south of central jail, gaya. It acts as a good reservoir of the rain water. The chhat puja celebration also takes pace here.
