This is the entrance to the trails that go through the woods back to Boppard.
If you turn left, along the interstate for a while, the trail will take you through the valley. You will cross a road first.
If you go straight, and go past the end of the rail road tracks into the woods, it will then take you across the rail road tracks. From there, you can follow several different paths through the woods that will take you back to various places in Boppard and Buchenau.
At the end of most of the trails is a small restaurant where you can get some refreshments (usually in time for coffee and cake time around 5pm).
