Park originally designed by Edward Taylor and José Canale, and inaugurated in 1883. It was extensively remodeled between 1932 and 1936 on a design by Carlos León Thays and was declared a National Historic Site in 1942.

The 4-hectare (10 acre) park includes tipas, rubber trees, magnolias, ceibos and sequoias. Some of its notable monuments include: to General San Martín (Louis Daumas and Gustav Eberlein, 1862), to the Fallen in the Falklands/Malvinas War (1990), to the Grenadier Regiment (Enrique Savio, 1993); and sculptures such as The Doubt (1906), by Louis Cordier.

  • Entre Santa Fe, Avenida del Libertador, Florida, Crucero Belgrano Data de principios del siglo XIX. En su extensa superficie hay tipas, gomeros, magnolias, ceibos y –curiosamente– sequoias; entre los árboles se encuentran distintas monumentos: al General San Martín, al Regimiento de Granaderos, a los caídos en la guerra de Malvinas; y esculturas, como La Duda, un grupo escultórico de Charles Cordier.
