Built in 2000-2001, it is the tallest cinema in the world, with 18 screens spread over 11 levels. The east face of the building, with its huge glass curtain wall and neon-lit criss crossing escalators is the most distinctive aspect.

It is almost the same height as adjacent St Andrew House, which has now been dragged into the 21st Century with its new similarly lit neon facade.
