The Marlborough Head (Farnham)

A pub has been on this site since the 1750s. The small brick and timber inn was rebuilt in 1920 in "brewers' tudor" by architect John Howard and is now a rare survivor of this style. It is currently (March 2007) threatened with compulsory purchase by Waverley Borough Council in order to appease developers who wish to include its site in a much larger redevlopment area. Why??
