Thomas Reef, Woodhouse Reef, and Jackson Reef lie within 1.5 miles NE of Gordon Reef are separated by deep channels, 0.1 to 0.15 mile wide. These channels, however, should not be used, as a dangerous current often sets across them. Stranded wrecks should not be mistaken for vessels underway.
