This house built in 1882 is New Haven's most elaborate second empire structure. The building includes extensive brownstone carving around windows and on the front porch, numerous oriel and bow windows, and impressive stained glass window panels. The house was sold soon after it was constructed and was eventually left to the convent of St. Mary which now occupies the carriage house. Most of the house's interiors are intact and it is currently the home of the Avraham Goldratt Institute.
