  • Bahirdia High School is a very old. This School is situated at Mansa Bazar, Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat District. This place Mansa Bazar is famous for Kalibari Mandir a Kali Temple. Hundredes of tourits and pilgrims vits this temple every year. This temple is situated at the south bank of River Bhairab. It is saying that the temple was faced towards south and once some fishermen were singing a folk song while sailing their boat, Deity kali was so happy to listen the song asked them to stop for singing that she wanted to listen. Those people were not knowing that Deity kali had been asking them to stop so they asked her come and listen. Deity kali turned herself including the temple that is why the is bent towards right.

  • Once upon a time my mother's grandfather Late Jitendranath Chatterjee lived that area.
  • My late father Dr. Surendra Nath Ghosh (1892-1964) was a student of this school. He was born in Bahirdia village. He passed the Entrance examination in 1909 in First division and then moved on to Satkheera to do his Intermdiate (First Arts?) studies.In fact in school days he was the first boy in his class. Later on he moved on to Kolkata to do his further studies, From Rabindra Kumar Ghosh, Gurgaon, India
  • I am descendant of this Chatterjee family. My name is Mrityunjay Chatterjee. My grand father's name was Nalini Kanto Chatterjee who lived there, my father also lived there till the age of 10.
  • Nice to here about Bahirdia where my grand parents were lived. Late Sarat Ch Dey was my grandfather. My father late Anil kumar Dey and uncle late Gopal Ch Dey were also spent their childhood in Bahirdia and were students of Bahirdia High School.
