The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, located in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, was constructed from 2003 to 2004 at a cost of $167,000,000 and underwent a $40,000,000 expansion during 2008-2009. It is the primary convention venue for the Gold Coast area.
The convention and exhibition centre consists of a 5,000-seat arena, a 6,345 sq m (68,300 sq ft) exhibition hall, a central room, and 12 breakout rooms. The arena has been the home of the Gold Coast Blaze of the NBL since 2007 and is the venue of the Netball events of the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
