Peacocks, is a fast fashion retailer based in Cardiff, Wales. The chain is owned by the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group and employs over 6,000 people. There are currently 388 Peacocks stores in the United Kingdom and more than 200 in 12 overseas countries. Over the years, Peacocks has been re-branded to a fast value fashion store, as opposed to selling homeware and basic clothing. The change was met with critical acclaim and won Peacocks numerous awards including the Best Value Retailer award from Drapers.

In January 2012, Peacocks entered administration, and was eventually bought by Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group in February. Although before entering adminstration the company was making profit, it was it's past debt mountain and huge expansion that led to adminstration.
