Satghara (Pronunciation Sapt+Ghara),literally meaning the combination of seven houses is a very diverse village in Babubarhi block of Madhubani district in Bihar. The village occupies an area of about 12 km² and has a population of about 12,000 (as of 2011updated). The language spoken here is Maithili. The lifestyle of people out here is very quiet and simple. This place is having good facilities of all education, electricity, transportation, and communications. The village is also popular because of its culture, scholars and Devi Durga Temple which is allocated at the middle of this village. The peoples of all religions and sects practice their rituals in great harmony. The people of this village is very religious and follow all religious rituals with pomp and show. The people of this village are all love and peace loving. Durgapuja, Mahashivratri, Holi, Chatth and Dipawali are some of the famous festivals of this village. The temple of Baba Mukteswar Nath is very adjacent (about 3 KM away) from this village.
Besides this, the people of this village do love to play or either watch cricket. The history of cricket in Satghara is very ancient. This village has always given birth to classic cricketers time to time. Every year Friends Cricket Club (abbreviation FCC) organizes "Cricket Champions Trophy" and a thousands of people gathers from area and they used to enjoy this gentleman game.
