Ziyang Lake is located south of Snake Hill in Wuchang. Every summer the lake is full of purple colour lotus flower. Twice daily the sun reflects the colour of the flowers hence the name Ziyang Lake, ‘Zi’in Chinese means purple colour and ‘yang’ means the sun.
