The island of Grand Bogue Caye, is Belize's largest, and lies inside of Turneffe Atoll. Grand Bogue caye was rumored to have been purchased by Bill Gates for $25 million, but those rumors are just that, and are said to be untrue. Mr. Gates has toured Turneffe and Grand Bogue Caye, but as far as is publicly known, he did not purchase the island.
