Protected from the powerful South East winds that buffet the Cape Peninsula, waterfall gorge offers panoramic views across False Bay and is home to a troupe of baboons. In 2005 a feral sheep dog that had lived on the mountainside here for many years, habitually chasing the baboons up and down the gorge, was removed by local animal shelter Tears.
