The George Kuthi is a famous old house here. This is the original house of Taraprsanna, Hariprasanna Mukherjee-s of Patpur, Bankura.
Dr. Lalmohan Ganguly originated from this place. Presently he is nearly 85 and a very famous doctor in Bankura town, stays in School Danga area.
Yogiraj Shyamacharan Lahiri's Kriya Yoga is practiced by many persons in this village.
