Balkh Province. In the dunes north of Balkh, 22 kilometers south of the Oxus (Amu Darya) River and 16 kilometers north of Daulatabad.
Date: Achaemenid period, 6th-4th century BC (ceramic evidence).
The remains of a circular walled town covering approximately 15 hectares, dominated by a central citadel, 28 meters high. Potentially of high significance, not yet excavated, last inspection occurred in 1974.
