Morelos theatre (Morelia)

The Theatre "José María Morelos," commonly called Teatro Morelos, is located at the Convention Center.

Founded in 1981, construction began in 1974 and was conducted by Public Works Government of Michoacan. It has a capacity of 1,339 people.

Located south of the city, in the planetarium zone, the Morelos Theater presents concerts, operas, ballets, plays, etc.. throughout the year. It is the most important headquarters of the prestigious International Music Festival of Morelia that takes effect each year usually in July.
