Dunlop is a suburb of Belconnen in the Australian Capital Territory. It is named after Lieutenant Colonel Sir Ernest Edward 'Weary' Dunlop , AC, CMG, OBE (Edward Dunlop) who was an Australian surgeon and was renowned for his leadership whilst being held prisoner of war by the Japanese during World War II. It is the far north-west of the Territory, and abuts on the New South Wales border.
