An endorheic lake in Saryarka (Kazakh Uplands). It is the largest lake in the Karagandy Region. The bottom of the lake is covered with silt, with a smell of hydrogen sulfide.14 small rivers flow into Karasor. During drought, the shallow parts of the eastern side of the lake may dry up, leaving a salt pan.
