The Memorial Bridge is a through truss lift bridge that carries U.S. 1 across the Piscataqua River between Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Kittery, Maine.
After 3 straight years of emergency repairs the bridge was closed for good to motor vehicles in August of 2011 pending demolition and replacement.
