History

The Mills Country Club
Canlubang, Laguna, Philippines
At the close of World War II, the country was in dire need of rebuilding. As part of a dream to help reconstruct the battered economy, Don Jose Yulo acquired what is now Canlubang from its previous owners. Known for his integrity, decency and keen business sense, he was tasked with turning the sugar plantation into a thriving economy. In time, Jose Yulo managed to turn what was a floundering business into one of the most successful sugar milling plantations in the Laguna region.

At the center of this expansive estate was the sugar mill, where all roads and tracks converged.

Today, The Mills Country Club has become the central leisure hub of the Canlubang Estate in Laguna. A sprawling four-hectare expanse sitting 125 meters above sea level, the land is designed to be an escape from the tedium of work to the delight of family and community, all housed in good old-fashioned fun.

The Mills Country Club has been created and is managed in partnership with Sta. Lucia Realty and Development Incorporated – one of the country’s top real estate, leisure and community developers.
