The ComplexCity Research Laboratory belongs to the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology located in Haifa, Israel.

The laboratory is the research home of diversified group of scholars forming an multidisciplinary research group. We come from different backgrounds (economics, physics, city and regional planning, architecture). Our common interest is the dynamics and the spatial evolution of cities. Our basic philosophy is that only by a joint and continuous effort in these complementary fields progress can be made in understanding cities.
The lab’s researchers are concerned with spatial-temporal phenomena in urban growth processes with emphasis on the morphology and the evolution of patterns. Each researcher uses his/her knowledge and his/her particular discipline.
The research in the lab is financed by the Israel National Science Foundation, Israel Foundations Trustees and the Technion.
