This isolated cottage was the home of my great great grandfather Donald Bain in the late 19th.c My great grandmother Amelia Bain Robertson walked across the moor from Rannoch Station in the middle of Winter going through 4 pair of shoes when her mother a Macdonald from Kingussie took ill.They were made of strong stuff in these days.
