They were still building it when I left, so don't know what it's proper name is, think it's festival mall or something. This monument to consumerism means we don't have to travel to East Rand Mall for our shopping and loitering needs. Kids from Kempton got it so easy these days...

Also, it's got an ice-rink, wich is cool, since the one in Pretoria is now on the other side of a toll-gate and some bright spark decided to turn the Fun-factory into a kiddie disco. That failed, last time I saw it was a Bourbon Street. Don't know if they have ice-hockey here though, that would probably be pushing it.

  • Building Festival Mall is now (13/5/2008) almost complete, and the complex now include a number of cinemas, as well as the Ice Rink, various restaurants and quite a number of life-style shops.
