Oakwood Cemetery, one of America's largest rural cemeteries, covers over 350 acres, and was established in 1848. It features a chapel, a crematorium, 24 mauselea, four man-made lakes and is home to about 60,000 graves. The site overlooks the Hudson Valley and is also the burial place of many famous Americans, including Samuel Wilson, whom "Uncle Sam" was modeled after.
