  • Formerly Camarillo State Hospital. <Mental Hospital> Locally rumored to be the "Hotel California" of the Eagles song.
  • one of the best cal states.
  • Although, Freddie, The Eagles have been quoted as saying it is not what they are refering to in the song. The bell tower at CSUCI is not the same as the one on the cover either.
  • I read and article that the song "Hotel California" was about the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Blvd that was owned my Merv Griffin Properties INC. iMHO: Not this campus or state mental hospital.
  • Song by Brazzaville band "Clouds of Camarillo" is about it.
