This old-style hardware store is built on the site of the first Grist Mill in Connecticut. I think the sign said it was built in 1633. The remnants of the mill can be found downstream of the hardware store. All that remains is the old cement base of the water wheel.

The hardware store is still operational, however, is open only with casual hours.
