In late 2011 the Griffith City Council carried out a major upgrade of this park, installing extensive exercise and play equipment, and re-landscaping the entire park. Formerly called Kookora Park, it has been renamed Griffith City Park, and features all kinds of attractions for children, including water fountains to play in, and a pyramid of rope and framework for climbing.
