Central Square (Tampere)

Finland / Pirkanmaa / Tampere

Keskustori ("Central Square") is the main square of Tampere, which is also considered as the heart of the city. Up to the early 20th century, Keskustori was a market place for peasants from the surrounding countryside to sell their products. Today the square is mainly a public livingroom, hosting various venues. On the Southern edge of the square is a bus terminal for local and regional bus lines.
