This gazebo on a hill overlooks the Mooloolah River Catchment. This area of land forms a basin that runs towards a common waterway. When the rain falls, the water runs either over ground or underneath after soaking in to the waterway system. According to the sign at the spot, "Mooloolah" is an aboriginal word meaning "dark thing or place" and can also be interpreted as "black snake".

A bronze plaque was put along the railing by Hazel Gerrard in memory of her late husband Charlie Gerrard which pointed out the places you could see while looking out toward the ocean including the Bald Knob Towers, Bribie Island and Mudjimba Island.
