The sandstone table top mountains or Tepuys, located to the south of the river Orinoco in Venezuela belong to the Precambric geologic Formation called Roraima Group which has over two thousand million years old and was formed by the depositions of sand sediments in the bottom of ancient lakes. For this reason the caves located in these rock formations are the oldest in the world. Another interesting characteristic is that in the top of This Mountains endemic life forms have been evolving during a period of several million years, giving birth to the legend that in this mountains top there exists a Lost World with creatures dating from the dinosaur’s era., a huge Tepuy with a surface over 3.470 square Km. The cave has near 5 kilometres long and has not been explored completely. It has a river system with waterfalls, lakes and different secondary mineral forms, in which we can mention some called “bioespelethemes”, because they are opal structures produced in the dark by some micro organisms, actually alive, that are been studied by scientist in different parts of the world because its extraordinary rareness. Among some characteristics of the “Charles Brewer Cave” cave, besides its longitude about 5 kilometre long, and being absolutely straight, there are some enormous galleries which in some cases have 70 meter wide by 40 meters high and over a 350 meter long, with volumes displacing near 400.000 cubic meters!!, and positioning this caves also among the biggest volume caves in the world.
