Casenuove Taiuti nr.8

Italy / Toscana / San Piero a Sieve /
 house, refuge

A small complex of rural houses built at the entrance to the woods.
It's eastern side is bordering the medieval road connecting Florentia (Florence) with Bonomia (Bologna) and it is principally being used as tavern, notorious for it's homemade "tortelli", whose receipt can be traced back to the Renaissance period.
The rest of the complex is being used as principal habitat by the last surviving members of once large and proud clan of T'aiuti, an ancient family founded in 1577 by Che Dio, a political outlaw refuged in the woody mountains of Mugello after his escape from the Bargello (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bargello) where he was imprisoned after failing to assassinate Cosimo I de' Medici, the Grand Duke of Tuscany.
Presently a small western corner of the complex is occupied by a strange couple of Latino-Slavic genetical heritage and solitary behavioral habits.
