The Palazzo Sclafani is located in front of Palermo, Italy's cathedral on Via Pietro Novelli, and is also close to the Palazzo dei Normanni, therefore in an extremely privileged position in the city. Constructed in 1330 by lord Matteo Sclafani, Count of Adernò, its design was in competition with his brother-in-law's contemporary Palazzo Chiaramonte.
