History:

The Congregational Church was the first church in Manitou, established in 1879. The original church building (comprising roughly the northwest third of the current structure) was built in 1880. The design of the historic portion of the building is attributed to Denver architect Robert S. Roeschlaub. Before it was built, services were held at the 1878 schoolhouse.
