Situated along the railway line 15 (Antwerp - Zonhoven)

After the construction of the railway line 'Herentals-Mol-Neerpelt' was approved, construction started of the stations and corresponding property for the station manager.
After the railway company 'Grand Central Belge' was taken over by the State in 1898, the stations where expanded with a top floor and a hipped roof (Type Ilbis). 1901-1902
