The monastery of Panagia Perampeliotissa built in the Venetian Era and dedicated to the birth of Virgin Mary. The monastery stands deserted, but the church and a few buildings of the monastic complex still survive.
During the revolution of 1866, many refugees from the surrounding villages found shelter here. The monastery is still famous for the icon of Virgin Mary from Perambela, which is considered miraculous and attracts pilgrims on September 8.
