  • "Ducati" isn't it's "official" name, even though it seems appropriate considering whenever MotoGP is there, the island is covered in bright red tents. Usually refered to as simply "BBQ Island" on most current event maps.
  • it's popular name is Ducati Island, But it's official name is BBQ Island.
  • For a long time in the late 80s and 90s this was "Pope Island". John Paul II spoke to about 100,000 people on the hillside from this island.
