Long Tail Point is the longest island in the lower Green Bay. It is known for it's long sandy beaches assessable only by boat. It is the location of a very old lighthouse. It is home for very large frogs, eagles, snow owls and much more. The island's point is very near the bend in the shipping channel's turn towards the Fox river. It is normal to see hundreds of boats on a summer weekend enjoying this island's beaches. In the winter, fishing shanties form a city of their own in the north bay. Dead Horse bay is between the mainland and the island, and acts as a boat harbor in the summer, a duck hunter's paradise in the fall, and a location for ice races and snowmobile trails in the winter.
