S-most of the three Bugge Islands (q.v.), Marguerite Bay, Fallières Coast, was called Isla Latorre by Chilean Antarctic Expedition, 1947. (Chile. DNH chart LIII, 1947); later named Landrum Island after Betty J. Landrum, Director, Oceanographic Sorting Center, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, DC, from 1963 (USGS sketch map Palmer Land (North Part), 1969; APC, 1980, p.4).
