Bamonpokhri Forests

This range is under Kurseong Div.It is famous for its old teak trees.Still there are 3 teak trees of 1866 plantation.The forest was famous for tiger,elephants.But tigers are occasionally found but elephants are always visible.Recently in the top of the hill a small mandir has constructed by the nearby forest villagers.There is a small pokhri near the mandir which is called bamonpokhri.The density of the forest coverage has got thinner day by day.
