The first generator at Tokke power plant came online in 1961. The water is routed through a 17 km long tunnel from Vinjevatn to the outlet in Bandak. The second, third and fourth generators at the Tokke power plant came online in 1962. The power from Tokke is routed into the coordinated grid in southern Norway. With its four generators, Tokke power plant has an installed capacity of 430 MW.
