The castle Fanari , administratively belongs to the Prefecture of Karditsa and is located 14 km of the city of Karditsa , a hill visible from afar. The first relates to the Phanar is in an imperial edict of 1289 . The Byzantine city Lantern, often found in sources throughout the 14th century .
