Madan Bhandari was one of the most influential leaders of his time. He is the greatest orator of Nepal of all times. He organised and unified most of Nepal's communist parties. He presented a theory of Communism that suits the modern Nepal. This land and a building constructed here is in the memory of the popular leader, Jana Neta, Madan Bhandari. The land belonged to his father, and now is purchased by the Madan Gram committee. Madan Gram, literally means the Village of Madan. And truly is. Itahara should be renamed Madan Gram. Because he shined Itahara nationally, and internationally. Madan Bhandari will always be remembered for democratising Communist thought.
