  • Nani Gopal Mukherjee has illegaly started filling the pond in the pretext of repair of the pond side. Several complaints were lodged in Fishery Dept, Land & Land Revenue Dept. The act of filling is stopped now but may commence anytime.I request all the people to protest and stop this illegal act.According to WB Inland Fisheries Act, 1984 filling of any waterbody irrespective of size where retention of water for a period of min 6 months is qualified an area as wetland /waterbody and filling of it is a nonbailable offence.
