Part of the Royal Corps of Signals, this TA unit provides one of the most unique Army communications systems in the world. It’s job is to maintain links between Army units in order to constantly relay vital information to commanders on the ground.

71 Engineer Regiment (Volunteers) is based across the whole of Scotland with TA Centres in Paisley, Cumbernauld, Leuchars, Elgin and Kirkwall on the Orkney Islands. The role of the Regiment is to provide high quality and motivated military engineers to support regular engineer units on operations.
