According to the project, there was to be a Turboatom plant for the production of turbines for the Kharkiv nuclear power plant in Birky.
After Chornobyl disaster, the construction of the nuclear station was cancelled due to protests by residents, and the plant became unnecessary.
Built in 1985-1987. Many houses were demolished, people were moved to apartments in the Rohan neighborhood and in the area of vulytsia Odeska.
