Kriváň (2495m)
Kriváň is a mountain located in the Tatra mountains. The peak is traditionally considered to be a Slovak national symbol. Probably due to its striking shape, it appears in many legends and fairy tales. It has also served as inspiration for various writers and painters. Historically, it was the target of "national" trips made by the followers of Ľudovít Štúr and an important place during the Slovak National Uprising.
